The Fanzine emerged as a complement to the Som Eterno radio programme, which was first broadcast in September 1993 and remained on the air without interruption until 2001. Both the Fanzine and the programme were dedicated exclusively to promoting Heavy Metal. The content of the zine was a collection of interviews I did for the programme and some trips to concerts, which at the time and with the Alentejo (Baixo) as a starting point was always an adventure. No. 0 was launched in 1993, No. 1 in 1994 and No. 2 in 1995. The fanzine received requests from all over the country; it was a way of spreading the word about heavy metal.
On 5 October 2022, I resumed broadcasting the Som Eterno programme, which I think remains very faithful to the broadcasts made in the 90s. So I'd be grateful if you could promote it. It airs on Wednesdays on Rádio Voz da Planície between 10 and 11pm. All the broadcasts are available on podcast.
