Tao was originally formed in March 1988, after Paulo Fernandes vocals/ guitar, Samuel Lopes bass (ex-Satan`s Saints) and João Mendonça keyboards decided to leave Cruise. The line up was completed with Carlos Coelho drums (ex-Satan`s Saints) and the two guitarists André David Nunes and Luís. Coming from Lisbon they played AOR / Hard FM, sung in Portuguese.
