BLACK SHEEP

Formed in the summer of 1991 in Monte da Caparica, the original line up included Matias bass, Zé Antonio drums, Pedro vocals and guitarists Sérgio and Zé Carlos. They were rehearsing until the first concert, which was at the Secondary school of Monte da Caparica, end of November. Soon after the band enters the Heaven Sound studios and recorded 2 tracks: "Blindman" and "It`s Coming". However they started having problems with Matias, leaving in February/ March 1992. They had some time looking for his replacement, finding João. Played live at the Johnny Guitar venue December 9th 1992, with Arabian Penthouse.

OVERHEAD

Overhead were from the North of Portugal, Porto. They released a 6 track demo tape in 1992, titled "The Eyes Of The Future", with the songs: "Overhead (Intro)", "Master", "Fight For Your Dreams", "Love Frustration", "The Eyes Of The Future", "Cubo De Gelo" and "Love Instrumental Frustration".

VOMITORY

Formed in mid-1991, in the region of Leiria, Vomitory born as Corpsegrinder. Back then the line up was Luís Alfar vocals/ bass, Luís drums and Nuno guitar. After a gig in Leiria R. Capitão and Tó joins the group, guitar and bass respectively. In 1992 they released a 4 track demo pae "Putrid Flesh". The demo included an intro and a Napalm Death cover "Scum", besides the 2 songs "Cause of Allergy" and "Putrid Flesh".

KRANION

From Odivelas, Lisbon came Kranion. The quartet was formed in May 1992 by Paulo Basílio vocals/ guitar, Luís Silva lead guitar, Ricardo Coelho bass and Pedro Miguel drums. At the same year a promo track it is recorded in their rehearsal room, "Morbid Thought". In January 23rd 1994 another promo track is recorded, "Pride".

OPEN CASKET

Band from Ilhavo, Aveiro, formed at the beginning of the 90s by 3 brothers: Miguel, Paulo and Henrique. Completed with Renato. Recorded a 9 track rehearsal demo tape with the tracks: "Abomination", "Punishment", "The Sinner", "Anti-Christ", "Rotting Corpse", "Commando" (Ramones cover), "Priest Lies", "Death" and "Cannibals", before split up in November 1992.

WANTED

Wanted were from Santo Tirso, Porto. The project began in the beginning of October 1991, by Rui guitar and Pedro drums, who invited Nanú guitars and Francy bass. After 15 days Wanted gave their 1st concert, even without a defined repertoire, playing various covers. In April 20th 1992 the group enters the Avé Mania studios (located at their home town) to record live what would be their 1st demo tape

, entitled "Handled Without Care". 5 tracks were part of the demo: "Time Bomb", "Who's This Guy", "Money God", " I'll Will" and "Desolate Ways". In September, Fancy leaves the band. After three months is replaced by Xola (ex-The Darkness) and by a new vocalist named Carlos Martins (ex-The Darkness). Wanted plays live 15/16 times in the surroundings of Santo Tirso and Vila Nova de Famalicão. In January 30rd 1993 they played at their home town, at the Téte-a.Téte bar. With a new line up, the group enter the same studios in which they recorded their first demo tape, and recorded 2 tracks, for their promo tape 1993, "What About Today?" and "Beat Me Down".

UNDERTAKER

Death Metal band from the Lisbon area, formed in late 1991. With the line up consisted of José Costa vocals/ bass (ex Massacre/Enforce), Ny drums, Pedro Miguel and Alcides Pinto guitars, they released the demo tape "Senile Atrophy" in 1992.

BOWELROT

After releasing only one demo under Disembowel, Bruno Correia guitar/ vocals and João Marques drums decide to change the band's name to Bowelrot. With the addition of bass player/ keyboards Fernando, the group released at least 4 demo tapes, until 1995, when they change their name again, to In The Umbra.
