INSANE

Insane appeared in January 1992 at the city of Tomar, originally formed by Sérgio Veloso and Nuno Martins, both on guitars. Later, Miguel Veloso joined on bass and in September of the same year, Nuno joined on drums. It was with this line-up that the band began to rehearse seriously. The line-up never changed, with Nuno Martins on drums and vocals, Sérgio Veloso on guitar and Miguel Veloso on bass. In February 1993, the first demo tape, "Human Psychological Problems" was released, with an introduction and four songs, "Human Psychological Problems", "Human Crisis", "Apocaliptyc Visions" and "Earth". Despite the poor sound, the reviews in fanzines and on the radio were very positive.

In September of the same year, a new demo tape was recorded in the studio, "Final Horror", with three songs, "Final Horror", "Vírus" and "Innocent Thoughts". This demo was never commercialised, only distributed to radio stations, fanzines and some friends so that the band would be better known in the Underground. In September 1994, the third demo tape came out, called "Metaphysical Thoughts Definition", with three songs, "Thinking About What Soul", "XXX" and "The Slum of My".  A production quality and presentation far superior to the previous demos. In February 1995, a new member joined the band, Sérgio Garraio, who joined on drums, leaving Nuno Martins exclusively on vocals, thus providing a busier and more consistent stage presence.
